This design pairs the timeless strength of Artemis, the mythic goddess of the moon and the hunt, with the bold ambition of Artemis II—NASA’s first crewed Artemis mission, sending four astronauts on an approximately 11-day journey around the Moon aboard Orion and the Space Launch System. It marks the first crewed flight of those systems and another big step toward long-term lunar exploration and future missions to Mars.
